If you gain weight and oxygen is suspected that something is not said. As if on steroids for a long inflammatory disease.
In general, people with moderate emphysema do not need oxygen, as has been said than done. I think it is, or heart disease or pulmonary fibrosis.
Steroids, you must change your way of eating. You need to adjust the calories, fats, etc. Nobody told me, and I'm still on prednisone and is still struggling his weight gain. At least I have reached a plateau.
You have to continue rehabilitation. It is a good way to burn calories and are monitored by medical professionals in manufacturing. You should be able to advise you on diet or refer to someone who can.

First, I suggest you speak with your doctor. They are best at, with diet and excerise plan is tailored to your needs.
My mother was diagnosed with COPD over 3 years. The weight gain was one of the problems we face as well.
She could not get out, and she had a lot of quit smoking, and increased appetite.
Some things that have helped us to cut food into smaller portions throughout the day and not just three meals. After a series of daily routine. And the light excerise focusing more on the lower extremities.
